Colin Jacob is a Los Angeles based photographer and Director of Photography specializing in portraiture and music video, narrative and documentary.  His dynamic use of light creates environments that draw you into his images and reveal the personality of his subjects.  Developing an intense love of photography at a young age, he built an extensive portfolio.  Colin was accepted to attend Art Center College of Design at age 17, where the average freshman acceptance age is 23.  He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.  While still at Art Center, Colin began shooting Ads for DCMA Collective, the clothing company owned by Benji and Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte.  He has gone on to shoot portraits of professional athletes such as Kobe Bryant, Jordan Farmar, Rob Durdek and Mike Valley.  Colin has created dynamic multi personality images forDraft Kings, Adidas, the Palms hotel, the Maloof Money Cup Skate Tour, Oscar Mayer and SURU to name just a few.  His music photography has seen him covering such bands as Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu and Escape the Fate.  His celebrity and editorial photography relies on his unique ability to see into the heart of his subjects, whether they be the iconic DJ JayE or ex gang leader Shaka.  As a director of photography Colin has shot for Brands such as Toyota, Jim Beam, Call of Duty New Era, Nice Kicks and UPROXX.  He has also shot musicians such as Breathe Carolina, Ronnie Radik, Slander, NGHTMRE, Awolnation, Sophie De La Torre.  Colin believes that the craft does not end with the click of a shutter and his personal project commitment extends into post production.  He performs all of his own compositing and retouching before delivering an image.  Over the years he has developed an amazing crew who are dedicated, efficient and fun to work with.
